Reason #71: Class on the grass
Those rare but wonderful 80-degree days in the spring when professors agree to have class outdoors. :)

An awesome opportunity for students to present their independent research, papers, and academic work in an interdisciplinary context.
A Grinnell tradition for seniors only: a party for the senior class marking 100 days until graduation… and a time to confess secret crushes and I-always-thought-you-were-cute kisses.
Sign up for this Secret Santa exchange through [plans] (the Grinnell-only online blogging platform/network) and you get to send and recieve a present from a grinnellian (current or alum—most likely an alum) somewhere in the world. One of my favorite examples of the Grinnell community spirit.
Auditioning for a play as a second-semester senior, because you’ve always wanted to try theater at Grinnell and never had the time until now… and miraculously getting cast in a main stage play! You don’t have to be a theater major to take part in awesome opportunities like this.
Sledding down the hill onto the football field on a snowy Friday night, on dining hall trays and inflatable sleds
Building a giant snow dragon out on Mac field on a Saturday afternoon just because.

An entire week dedicated to Harry Potter awesomeness. Oh yes. :)
On Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30, the bubbly and enthusiastic Marlene Jacks leads a group of 25 - 40 students, professors, and college staff in an hour work-out, as we dance our feet off to a melange of international tunes. Salsa, rumba, belly dancing, Bollywood… you name it.
Anyone can join at any time! The most important thing with zumba, though, is that you let go, dance like no one’s watching (because honestly, no one else really is looking at you), don’t be afraid of being silly, and you’ll have a great time.
…like, when you analyze Beyonce’s “Who Run the World” music video for your transnational feminism class.
Win.
